Modern Literature

Kamin Mohammadi: Bella Figura

This book, for me personally, encompasses a fusion of amazing Eat, Pray, Love and Sex, and the City.
How so? You find there amazing Italian cuisine, search for one's own personal happiness, reach the calmness within regardless of the noise outside, and it is all spiced us with some no-strings-attached dating, meeting men whose life prospects and visions are so different from the reality they live and love in. All is complicated, full of emotions until she meets The One, the one she fears has too much baggage, not only the emotional one, we talk little humans and ex-wifes.
This story provides us with a guide into our souls, and tells us to find our self-worth, our inner goddess which then manifests through a diet rich in free unprocessed foods, through body posture, and most importantly, by stopping to take care of ourselves first which results in better communal life.
Had I not met my husband, I'm sure I'd move to Italy too, to find and explore my potential and discover what was in me all along.

Francois Sagan: Dobrý deň smútok

When you hear about a book so much that it somehow lands in your bookcase thanks to a book swap with a friend.
So far, it is going very well. A young girl living with a bohemian father, living the best life a young girl can have, full of carefree moments and reckless towards love enjoying summer in a private villa on the French seaside.

Nicole Trilivas:

Dievčatá na cestách

It has been almost five years since I got this book for Christmas. It was amidst my own personal battle, I had a new boyfriend, I was losing parts of my secrets, and I longed to travel everywhere and all the time while he held me back.
My mum, as always, tried to cheer me up, so for Christmas, I chose this book. It is a nice romantic story about a girl whose soul is forever wondering and wandering.
Once again, easy read to raise the spirit.

Meet The Heroes

Today, let's read and talk and share the words of heroes and heroines of our days. Of people to try to improve the world regionally, doing small but meaningful actions, and changing the minds of people surrounding them.

Where to find inspiration? How to get inspired? Why get inspired?

Let's find it in books. By reading the proper ones we find out the strength of those who lived before we were even born or those who roam the world together with us.
Find the books which help you to become your best self. Books that break your silly exhausting habits and prevent you from enjoying the best of times. Books, boost your creativity, and imagination and enhance the feeling of fascination with life.
Get inspired to be a better, driven, joyful and playful adult.

These days feel to be repetitive due to the pandemic. Day after day, after a day full of work, cooking, sleeping, and occasional errands to be handled outside the safety of our homes.

The story is about the same repetitive tasks. There has also been an episode in Black mirror inspired by the same motive, additionally, the movie The Edge of Tomorrow is similar.
A guy in an asylum feeling familiar with the environment yet not knowing how or why he has happened to be there.
Dig into this short book, you surely won't regret it.

Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie

Have you ever wished for the world to be more equal? To stop normalizing something's behavior due to being female or male? To bring up both strong males and strong females who do not bias their tendencies and reactions base not on what is appropriate, but rather what is right?

My mother detested the division of housework appropriate for boys and girls which my father liked. We did not live in a country with livestock needing care but in a town apartment.
I too hate, when my husband says that cooking is in female genetics and they are more prone to cocking. I think it is just because society puts them there.
I wish for my children to judge people based on the rightness of their actions, not their biological or other sex.
Let's bring up a generation of open-minded, tolerant and ambitious people.

Tom Hanks:

For a long time, I have adored old typewriters. The ones you can write on, and similarly, those which are of aesthetic character only.
I also adore #TomHanks, his acting, and his personality. When I noticed that he published a book, my kind brother gifted it on Christmas 2 years ago. This collection of short stories ignites sparks of joy in you and unintentionally makes you think about buying one of your own.
To top it off, a cute French movie about typewriters and how competitive sports can be will make your heart melt.
Don't forget to include a cup of nice tea, a warm blanket and you can dive into the sounds of typing
